Gulas are 3 inch long imitation eels. This two to three inch long "surimi" pollock fish product is meant to look similar to the prized Spanish delicacy of Angulas de Aguinaga. It has become controversial harvesting "true" baby eels because of the environmental impact.

To enjoy these, simply thaw, pat dry, sauté with olive oil, garlic, cayenne pepper and serve sizzling hot with crusty bread.
